This album was written to accompany the story about Hannibal Barca, famous for his epic journey across the Alps with elephants.
Hannibal Barca was born to a Lusitanian mother. He united the celtic pre-roman tribes of Lusitania and made his epic journey across the dangerous Alps toward Rome. Little is known of this Lusitanian connection, nor of his own celtic side from his mother.
The music on this album was inspired by this history, and these Lusitanian heroes. You can read about it in my article on the Ancient Origins website, entitled 'The Legend of Cardosa and a Carthaginian City.'
